WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE INITIAL CONSULTATION?

This is a chance for us both to see if we are a good 'fit' for each other. In that first session if there is anything REALLY obvious to you (I remind you of your ex-sister-in-law or you can't stand the sound of my voice) I am probably not the best therapist for you! On the other hand, it takes time to build a therapeutic alliance and experiencing that our first meet would be unexpected.

WHAT IS TELETHERAPY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Teletherapy sessions are like in-person counseling sessions, only over the phone or via video conference. Your therapist will schedule with you like any other session. For our video conference I will send you a personal link via email to access your private virtual waiting room.  For telephone therapy, I will call you at your preferred phone number at the designated time. I rarely practice telephone therapy. It is important to me to not only hear your voice, but be able to see your expressions and appearance to fully understand the "big picture".
